Hague Apostille Country List

Hague Apostille Member List
The Hague Apostille Convention is an international treaty that simplifies the attestation (otherwise known as legalisation) of documents between member states. The aim of it is to make the attestation process as simple as possible for those needing to present their documents internationally.

This is the current list of member states:

What does it mean for my documents?
If you have documents from a member country of the Hague Apostille Convention and you need to present them in another member country, the process of attesting your documents is much simpler. Rather than going through a lengthy process made up of multiple steps, you will generally only need an Apostille stamp applied. This means you save a lot of time and effort!

Is this always the case?
Unfortunately not. Although the aim of the Hague Apostille Convention is to simplify the attestation process to Apostille-only, some member countries may still require extra steps. If you're unsure about anything or worried about your document attestation just get in touch with Vital Consular - we'll be able to advise you on what you need to do!

What if the country I'm going to is a member, but the country that issued my documents isn't?
The agreement only applies if both of the countries involved are members of the Hague Apostille Convention. If one of the countries isn't a member, then the full attestation process will likely apply.
