Attesting a document for any country can be difficult because of how the process can vary when attesting different types of documents for different countries. A German birth certificate being attested for Qatar won't have the same process as an Australian Degree Certificate being attested for the UAE, for example.

Vital Consular can take your German documents and legalise them for use for any country in the world. We can legalise any officially issued German Certificate if required, such as birth, marriage and death certificates, as well as educational documents. The general process for attesting a document from Germany is as below.

How It Works

To attest your German Documents, we will require both the original certificate and a copy of your passport. 

• Send us your documents or have them collected by our specially allocated couriers.
• We'll have them sent safely to Germany, where four things will happen:

1. First, the document will go through a pre-legalisation process at the Ministry of Federal State.
2. Then, the document will be translated from German into the language of the country it is being attested for, to make it acceptable for use there.  
3. Thirdly, your document will be need to be attested at the local District Court in your area.
4. Finally, your document with need to sent to the relevant Embassy in Berlin, where the legalisation process will end.

• Finally, your document will be sent back to you (or anywhere else you might need), safe and sound,

The process for different documents can vary however. For example, for an educational document, an original copy of the document will have to be pre-legalised at the Ministry of Culture and Science (Ministerium für Bildung und Kultur), rather than the Ministry of Federal State. It may be that your document needs to be sent to whichever country it needs legalising for and attested at the relevant Foreign Affairs department as well.
